Madam Hyam S.P.A.R.E's Shelter Manager Hayam is really in love with the animals at the shelter - all the animals we rescue get the warmest and most caring treatment from her. I’m 15 years old and am a student in (DEO) Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule in Dokki. I want to volunteer with S.P.A.R.E. because I want to stop animal cruelty. Since my childhood I have loved and lived with many animals. I love dogs and horses. I’ve been riding horses since I was seven years old in Haram and Gezira club. I want to defend the animals and help them living a better life: I hope to help animals and make people aware how animals should be treated. Animals can’t talk so I want to be their voice. Likes: that there are people willing to help the animals, and I think if we stick together we will be able to change many things. Dislikes: people abusing animals and mistreating them; pet shops putting large dogs caged in a small cage.

Angeles Hundehilfe

Angeles Hundehilfe is actually a really young organization. It was founded in 2008 by the active members. We all acted in animal protection longtime before this foundation and we made a lot of experiences for example in Spain, Greece and the Ukraine.  Angeles Hundehilfe is a lobby for animal rights of abandoned and abused animals, by searching for loving families in Germany for them, and by financially supporting shelters with our available resources.  Together with S.P.A.R.E in Cairo, we want to achieve in Egypt itself that the sitaution for the welfare of animals will change, as we call attention to injustice and demonstrate alternatives in handling animals.  "Everything that the humans does to the animals, comes back to humans!"
