Fostered Animals
S.P.A.R.E. will not pay any expenses for fostered animals.
We may provide required traveling arrangement services (blood test, microchipping, etc) for a fee, to be agreed upon with the foster parent.
This forum is simply a service offered by S.P.A.R.E to help animal rescuers find homes for pets.

If you've rescued an animal and would like to find it a home, please send us its photo and information to post on our website. You never know who might fall in love with it and adopt it!

Please send us the following information about the pet you are fostering:
Name; Sex; D.O.B.; Vaccinated; Spayed; Neutered; Microchipped. Make sure to include as detailed description as you can about how you found the animal, its characteristics - what is special about it, what it loves, what it's scared of etc.

Should your fostered pet find a home abroad, the procedure is as follows:
health check
microchipping
full vaccination, including rabies
rabies antibody test
parasite treatment
spaying/neutering
public health certificate
transport box
flight
We can assist you fully in this process, for an agreed upon fee.
Kristin Aschaber from S.P.A.R.E. and AngelesHundehlife in Germany assist us with placing pets in homes abroad, so we will also put you in direct contact with them.

Should your fostered pet find a home in Egypt, the procedure is as follows:
health check
microchipping (optional, but receommended)
full vaccination
parasite treatment
spaying/neutering
We can assist you with the adoption process: interviews, home visits and any other help you may need for an agreed upon fee.

Remember:
You always have the right to refuse an adopter, and wait until the perfect family comes along.

"Jack"
This foster dog is a Jack Russell / Daschund mix, and is probably about six years old.  He was found in Maadi on May 24th by Omar and Karim.
He had injuries on his back, probably from dog bites.

He is very calm obedient and is pleasant in nature.

Currently, he is in a foster home in 6th October with five dogs and two cats, so the house is really crowded!!

If you would like to adopt him, please contact us so we can put in touch with the foster family.

Azzim & Azzima
Azzim and Azzima fostered in Germany! Azima (D.O.B. 2006) was a very popular among the children in the community, who loved to come to S.P.A.R.E. and walk her! She is lots of fun. Azima is quiet, patient, smart and well behaved. She is the dog who taught the children in the community that a dog can be fun, your best friend and that animals deserve respect. Azim (D.O.B. 2005) was taken off the streets and brought to S.P.A.R.E. for routine spay/neuter surgery as part of our TNR Program. He was extremely weak at the time and stayed 2 months at the shelter, getting his strength back to prepare him for the surgery. After a successful surgery the staff fell in love with him and Azim has been there ever since. He is very laid back and loves to eat. He spends most of his day relaxing and sleeping. Azim is not very active but very lovable. He is called the Angel of SPARE.
