S.P.A.R.E. spent months looking for Pepi (named after the pyramid next to which he was found) after being alerted by friend and donator Betty Mercey.
Pepi was tied by children for many months, until the S.P.A.R.E. dog catchers finally managed to catch him and bring him to the Shelter for treatment.
When we finally managed to catch him, the wound in his neck was unspeakable! It was infested with worms, and he had to be heavily sedated.
Pepi spent some months at the Shelter, but he was miserable, since he lived his whole life in the deserts of Sakkara. We sadly put him back where he used to live, and check up on him from time to time.
