Welcome To S.P.A.R.E
S.P.A.R.E. a thought for the creatures of this world who cannot say when it hurts, when they are scared; for those who cannot look after themselves and cannot defend themselves. S.P.A.R.E. a thought for those animals who are abused, tortured and mishandled daily out of ignorance, poverty and often for amusement’s sake.

S.P.A.R.E is a charitable organization, and was founded in 2001 to help all wounded animals, poisoned dogs and cats, and those that have been shot by the authorities as part of a seasonal eradication program. S.P.A.R.E. is the first fully Egyptian animal protection society.

FEW ANIMAL RIGHTS LAWS EXIST IN EGYPT

Laws that protect animals in Egypt are few, but do exist under the Penal Code, the agricultural law and the environment law.

Learn more about the laws, how you can use the existing ones, and how you can help us create a stronger constitution that helps more animals in need.

Know them to change them.

FEATURED ADOPTABLE: Joey

Joey was rescued just in time! His brothers and sisters were eaten by crows, but Joey was rescued and is now being fostered at Amina's house until he finds a home.

He's still a little bit shy and is a bit of a homey cat: he likes his stuff where it is, and feels most comfortable when he's near his bed, near his toys and near his food (which he loves).

Joey is a Mau. He will be ready to travel in December 2010, but he still needs a sponsor til then. If you would like to sponsor or adopt Joey, click here.
